Potential Gravity by zeitgeistic (faire_weather)
Summary: Draco is not good at Cards Against Humanity, but Harry’s not good at being human, so it all works out. Except for the explosions. And Harry’s inability to live when Draco’s not around.
Notes: For firethesound.
TROPE: Pining
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 32,000
Why do I love this? Let me count the ways!
Humour. This piece has great humour. Starting with the crack about how Harry wants to stay in England because they speak English here. Except he isn't sure about Liverpool. (I'd have said Glasgow, but I laughed out loud nonetheless. :)
Harry is real, broken, and believable. I like the way this Harry has no damn clue what he needs, why he needs it, or how to fix anything, but he just keeps barreling through until he manages to make his life bearable again.
The ministry is awful, and it's so convincing that it feels like that is as it should be. Their prejudice against Draco, the way they treat Harry in England, and again in Beirut, their complete fuck-up on the case that Harry and Draco have to break rules and laws to solve.
Draco's hilarious Grandmother.
Narcissa. Love her in this!
And I love this Beirut. Makes me want to go there.
