twisted_miraclesometimes i wonder why i bother to read h/d anymore. the books are all long published, there's never going to be any more canon, and talented people have already mined this finite vein quite deeply.
then i hit something like this fic.
i am reading an h/d so good it is amazing. the author obviously threw out a pwp h/d one day, and it was super hot but not much more, but people loved it and she ended up expanding it into something really amazing. she's got a fabulous grasp of emotion and her dialogue is driven perfectly by a deep understanding of real humans and the actual characters. i'm not even done yet and i just have to tell you all about it.
