The fic itself is pretty dang dirty, but also lighthearted and cute. It's right around 11,000 words and due October 1.

So, this was wonderful! Wonderful. Sexy, poignant, satisfying.
I loved the way the writers used Venus and the rain to remind Harry and Draco of their past and hint at the meanings of their choices. I loved learning what had happened and finding out what was currently happening. It won't take you long, so read it! :D

You must take some time, set some time aside, I mean, and read "Another Mask Behind You" by lettered. I mean, you really must. Even if you read the first few paragraphs and think "what was TM thinking? This isn't earth-shattering at all?" You must continue reading it because you are going to love it. Just love it. Because Oh. My. Heavens that was so fucking excellent. I think lettered damn near killed me. I was desperate to find out how it would end and horrified that it was going to end. And then it ended. I wish I could read it for the first time again.

I guess the part I loved best was Draco's constant and never-ending determination to keep going, even though he kept fucking up, even though he kept contradicting his previous convictions and decisions. Lettered summed that up so well at the end with one conversational back-and-forth, but you see it over and over again in the fic, and your heart just breaks for him, even as you cheer him on to keep trying.

I also really loved the way Harry kept changing in Draco's estimation. He was ugly, and his eyes were tiny, and he was stupid, and then slowlyslowly, he became the sexiest man who ever lived who should always wear black tshirts and possibly Draco was just a little obsessed. That was wonderfully funny and touching. :D Really, so much of this was wonderfully funny and incredibly touching. Lettered made me laugh and she made me cry.

Go read the damn thing, even if it will take you a couple of days.

This was freaking awesome. AWESOME! I loved so very, very much of it. Watch how ICMezzo integrates Draco's routine into the story. It's positively marvelous.

The conversations Draco has with his mother are usually bloody hilarious. I loved learning about Draco's anger and Narcissa's shock through the description the other gives of their accidental ("accidental?") magic. I also ICMezzo's adorable House Elf, Nettle. She gets to give a little speech partway through the fic, and it's awesome -- especially because of the sound effects!

The premise was beyond unusual, but it makes a frame around which ICMezzo hangs a great story. It doesn't distract or get in the way.

But most of all I was all caught up with Draco and his new life. I loved his awful relationship with his mother. I enjoyed his devotion to routine and control and normalcy. I loved watching him freak out, just a little inside, about how hot Harry is now. And I loved watching them move slowly and inexorably toward each other. LOVELY stuff! So glad I read it, and I bet you will be, too!

I just finished reading a long hd erised fic that I can enthusiastically recommend!

We start in an ordinary canon compliant 6th year, and things quickly change course. This fic is exciting, well-written, and often desperately funny. It is told from Draco's pov, and this Draco is on full display. We learn his insecurities, his fantasies, his weaknesses and his strengths. We watch him watch Harry and be unsure what he's seeing as Harry watches back.

When I got to the end of the first (of 2) chapters, and misunderstood it to be the end, I was in a bit of despair! (So I've linked for you the version that puts both chapters on one page.)
